Jane Fonda was the belle of the ball at the Cinema Society afterparty for “Smart People” on Monday, the New York Post reported.

The two-time Oscar winner, who’s not in the film, showed up to the Bowery Hotel bash wearing a chocolate gown paired with red rhinestone sunglasses and motorcycle boots.

Fonda partied with new boyfriend Lynden Gillis, who met her when he asked her for an autograph at a book signing.

Also at the Linda Wells-hosted party were the movie’s stars - Ellen Page, Thomas Haden Church, Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker, who was being
David Beckham
interviewed on the red carpet when the reporter suddenly fainted.

Parker’s hubby Matthew Broderick, as well as Griffin Dunne, Donna Karan, Parker Posey, Howard Stern fiancée Beth Ostrosky and “30 Rock” stars Katrina Bowden, Rachel Dratch and Lonny Ross all walked the red carpet. Ellen Barkin, who rebuffed fotogs, was overheard inviting Isla Fisher to her next Passover dinner, saying she makes a “mean brisket.” And Rocco Dispirito walked around showing off his new gal pal, Eddie Murphy ex Tracey Edmonds.

Cinematical has posted some more information about Katrina’s upcoming film, Sex Drive.

Next up is 30 Rock’s towheaded Cerie, Katrina Bowden. It seems that she’s just finished filming Sex Drive with James Marsden. This is that weird teen sex comedy that Jessica blogged about the other day. Unfortunately, there’s no word on who she plays — an object of teen affection, I would assume. Whatever the case, her career is definitely moving forward from her first gig as an actress in a Fall Out Boy music video.

Katrina has been cast in a new film, tentatively titled Sex Drive. Her role in the film is a character called “Ms. Tasty” and it appears that she may be the lead female role. Co-stars in the film include James Marsden, Josh Zuckerman and Alice Greczyn. The film is directed and co-written by Sean Anders and the plot synopsis is as follows:

A horny teenager brings his friends along on a road trip from Chicago to Knoxville to lose his virginity with a girl he met online.

It is set for a release of October 10, 2008 and its currently filming in Belle Glade, Florida. You can check out more info at the IMDB.
